In one of the best Muaythai events in the World I-1 Hong Kong GPX, organized by Master Kim Ip i have achived second place in 8 man professional tournament, after wining two fights and losing in the final. CLARENCE SOH – SINGAPORE Leading up to my fight i trained twice a day for 2 weeks. Morning runs of abt 8km. Evening hill sprints. Pad work with Nokweed or P’Dang.4 rds per session. Ralph conducts the morning sessions most of the time and so there was lots of conditioning work as well. Stretching for abt 10 mins after every session. 1st rd of the fight went well. Slow build up but with hard push kicks n low kicks. 2nd rd i got caught with a strong straight right n elbow to the head which left me bloody n weakened.Opponent saw the damage n tried to go for the kill. I clinched him to regain strength until the bell. 3rd rd i dropped him 3 times but he got up n the knockout blow was when i kneed him to the head in a clinch. The fight was over n i was pronounced the winner by KO.

ALEX RIPPINGILLE – AUSTRALIA i train at Lamai WMC Gym. i had my forth fight on monday nite. i was nervous as hell but stoped him in the second round with an elbow. i love training at Lamai Muaythai Camp because there is always some one to pull you up on your mistakes and help you with your fitness also great people to spar with from beginners to professional fighters who always help out.

Another great 3 days of training at Lamai Muay Thai Camp with the help of Stephan Fox vice president of the World Muaythai Council … Stephan , Ralph and our 12 thai trainers (including special guest appearance from Nonsai (Nonsai Sor Sanyakorn) .. who has decided to stay 4 weeks becoming part of the family on Koh Samui) ! pulled all the guns out and had the classes of up to 50 people gasping for air … from beginners to fighters they all got up to 15 rounds spread over a 2 hour class’s, pushing their limits and learning some great new techniques! Canadians, Germans, Australians, Israelis, Malaysians, English ,Iranians and Americans all working together proving once again Muay Thai is a sport for champions !

Another fantastic night at Phetch Buncha Samui Stadium, for the Lamai Wmc Crew ! 6 quality fights all ending up full blown full thai rules battles ! no holding back from all fighters with knockout elbows and head kicks, cut eyes and broken noses !

Lucky from Lamai Camp starting the show rolling with a great 4 round show piece of Muaythai’s technique at it’s best. Ben Burrage from Australia winning a totally fast and intense 5 rounds on points showing great heart and commitment. Jason Woodham from the Uk up next overpowering the Thai in skill and fitness , from the off Jay’s technique put the thai on the back foot, Jay wining round 2 knockout. Slovakia superstar Vladimir Konsky fighting a quality local Thai named Dom .. this was a complete 50/50 war until round 3 when Dom cut Vladimir with a elbow only to receive an elbow minutes later breaking Dom’s nose and KO him out of the fight … finally Pascal from germany showing great heart finally stoping his opponent with low leg kicks ,,,,,, all in all the crowd, fans, fighters and thai community loved yet another famous WMC Lamai Muaythai Camp Showdown !! keep an eye for next months fights !
